Brenda's Story
Life
Since 1995 to present I have actively participated in a series of workshops and science classes. Which helped me become our school Science Specialist. I have been a Math and Science Presenter for the School District. These workshops have help teachers develop knowledge on hand on activities.
I have devoted a great deal of time helping those who are in need, for several years. I have served as the co-coordinator of a school- wide established program to help children who are on less fortunate circumstances that their peers. Additionally I have held the position of Co-originator for the Path mark Multicultural Arts Festival. Under my direction students are presented to perform various dances and vocal selections representing African-American, Hispanic, and Asian cultures.

upon the development of community awareness and concern for the environment within their community. I have established contacts with Jersey City Incinerator Authority to provide students with the materials needed to beautify their neighborhood. A spirit of co-operation and pride is instilled in my students as a result of this most worty endeavor.
I have worked avidly to secure grant funds to provide my Science Club with an opportunity to establish a pond within the school garden. Children of various ethnic backgrounds work side in these activities sharing a spirit of pride in their accomplishments. Additionally, as the moderator for the Student Council, I have supervised my students in activities which promote brotherhood and a sense of caring for one another. Through these activities children have learned to bond with each other and focus upon their likenesses rather than differences.
